Berke Biopsychology Lab

Welcome to the Berke Lab! We investigate fundamental neural mechanisms underlying choices and actions, and how these processes are altered through learning and in neurological/psychiatric disorders including drug addiction, Tourette Syndrome and Parkinson’s Disease.
We are a systems neuroscience lab, attempting to understand how certain key neural circuits in the brain work. We use advanced electrophysiological techniques to examine the activity patterns of individual neurons, and neuronal populations, in awake brains. Our group is engaged in a variety of research projects - click on a link to read more.
